The THEME’s Adult Piano Course (TAPC) was designed keeping in mind the busy lives of Adult students. This course is for those who wish to learn the piano for recreational purposes. Students learn to play songs from all genres, develop a strong sense of pitch and rhythm, develop music reading abilities, and enjoy playing with fellow musicians.


Module 1: 4 weeks

Intro, Rhythm, Pitch, History, Technique

Module 2: 15 weeks + 1 week (Assessment)

Students play melodies. Purpose of this module is to move comfortably on the keyboard, while developing a sense of pitch and rhythm.

Module 3: 4 weeks

Students learn to play chords, inversions, accompaniment patterns, and apply to known/learnt melodies

Module 4: 10 weeks

Sight Reading: Students begin to learn to read staff notations

Theory: Ties, Slurs, Staccatos, Dynamics, Pause, Repeats

Module 5: 12 weeks

Ensemble Playing

Age Group:

  • 18 years onwards. Please contact your nearest branch for more details on age groups.

Class Specifications

  • Group method with 6 Students per class
  • Duration: 1 hour, once a week
  • Class Timings: 3 pm to 7 pm on weekdays. 11 am to 7 pm on Saturdays, 11 am to 3 pm on Sunday (subject to slot availability)
